About
British record label founded in 1990 by William Orbit and Disc O'Dell. It primarily released progressive house music and helped to spearhead the genre. I.R.S. Records had a long history with Orbit as an artist so when he launched Guerilla, I.R.S. struck a distribution deal for the US. and 1994 they were issued on Di Stefano's TRIBAL America label. By 1994, Tribal was soaring and when the Guerilla deal was up for renewal, Di Stefano rejected it, partly due to high licensing fees. Without that funding, Guerilla experienced financial problems and closed down. The company was dissolved in 2003. Written as Guerilla Records on many releases. For the company (e.g., as copyright owner), use Guerilla Records Ltd. For the recording studio, use Guerilla Studios. For the publisher, use Guerilla Music Ltd.
